TSF FC and Brooklyn Italians Finish with 0-0 Draw

In a midweek clash between two teams on the top of the conference, no team could walk away with the spoils, with the match ending 0-0. With a lively start from the Italians, they were unable to finish with the early chances created. As the half continued, TSF took to defending deep and trying to frustrate the Italians, which clearly affected the boys in blues attack. Both teams went into the locker with very little going forward, trying to exert some dominance in the final third.

Similar to the first half, TSF continued to sit deep and defend the potent Italians attack. With much of the ball, the Italians continued to look for the breakthrough so they could claim all three points.

The game livened up in the 78th when Christian Flath, who received a yellow in the first half, made a tactical foul to break up a counter attack of TSF. Already on a yellow, Flath received a second yellow, and was sent to the locker rooms. With a man advantage, TSF attempted to press forward, and created a chance by hitting Bernardi’s bar late on, but still nothing hit the back of the net.

With the game ending in a draw, the Italians are on ten points, with TSF on seven points.
