On a blustery April afternoon, FC Hasental hosted Temecula FC in a heated Southwest Conference matchup. FC Hasental controlled a majority of possession in the first half, but failed to challenge the Temecula keeper, who seemed comfortable even with the wind. The best chance of the half came from Temecula FC, who fired just over the bar when their right midfielder took it to the byline and shot from an extremely acute angle.
The second half started out with much the same, with the breakthrough coming in the 73rd minute when FC Hasental veteran Tito Anguiano beat his mark in the opposition’s box and sent a magnificently curled cross to Luis Conriquez, who finished with a header. The final 15 minutes saw the match get chippy as Temecula FC were reduced to ten and then nine men. With a two-man advantage Hasental secured the three points by dominating the ball for the final ten minutes of the match.
Next up for FCH is a friendly with LA Galaxy II on April 23 at the StubHub Center before Los Conejos host top of the table Albion SC Pros for a 7:00 pm kickoff at Cal Lutheran University on April 30th.
