The Magic City Clásico continues to grow on and off the field. After a win for Miami FC in the first meeting, these two South Florida rivals met in the north of Miami at United’s home.
A change of formation led to a United offensive explosion.
In the 28th minute, a service from the left side of Max Schenfeld left Brian Perea in a goalscoring position and a well-placed header made the score 1-0.
Miami FC had its best moment right after the initial goal. They took possession of the ball coming with danger to the goal through Tomas Granitto. Unfortunately for the visitors, they came away empty handed.
Two minutes before the end of the first half, United put in the final touch with a spectacular run by Christian Montaño who took advantage of his speed to drive to the rival area. His powerful shot brought the score to 2-0, which ended up as the final.
In the second half, the match was even. United concentrated on keeping order in defense and waiting for opportunities. Miami FC had plenty of possession but wasn’t able to turn that into goals.
Miami FC returned home without points and with their first defeat of the season. With each team team gaining a win against their rivals this season this season, the legend of the Magic City Clásico continues with great excitement with great excitement.
