Sunday afternoon’s matchup between the Rochester Lancers and Cleveland SC was the second game of the season for the Eastern Conference foes. Despite the rain, the fans in attendance were treated to an entertaining and high-scoring match as Cleveland SC won the match by a final score of 4-0.
Both Rochester and Cleveland had an even share of possession and shots in the first 40 minutes of the game. Finally, in the 40th minute, Cleveland’s Admir Suljevic fired a curling shot around the Rochester wall from outside the 18-yard box. The score would give Cleveland SC the lead and they would never look back.
Cleveland continued to add to the shoreline in the second half of the game. Antonio Manfut would add to the score thanks to a Danny Ruple assist in the 64th minute of the game. Manfut would add to the scoreboard again in the 75th minute of the game off of a solo effort on goal to give Cleveland a 3-0 lead. Ruple would score his first goal of the 2019 season to give Cleveland the 4-0 lead and the win for the day.
For his two-goal effort, Manfut was awarded Man of the Match honors.
