Valeo FC Joins the NPSL for the 2020 Season
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is proud to announce that Valeo FC (Newton, MA)
has joined the league as an expansion team. The club will begin competition in the Northeast
Region’s North Atlantic Conference in 2020.
“Valeo FC is a tremendous addition to our Northeast Region,” NPSL Managing Director Cindy
Spera said. “We’re delighted to see the NPSL continue to grow in the Boston area and
Massachusetts as a whole.”
Valeo FC was founded in 2008 and has developed into one of the top youth programs in the
Northeast. They are one of just four clubs in Massachusetts to have a U.S. Soccer Development
Academy program. Their youth soccer programs have traveled internationally, winning
prestigious tournaments like the IberCup in Spain and Portugal.
The club operates seven locations in New England: one in Manchester, NH and five in Boston,
MA. They also operate a residential academy in Portugal and two training academies in
Jamaica. Valeo FC is a registered 501(c) (3) non-profit sports education and training
organization focused on developing competitive athletes, outstanding citizens, and strong
leaders.
Valeo FC is led by Director of Soccer Operations Corlton Simmond and Founder/CEO Emelio
Williams.
“We are expecting to compete in a professionally-run league that our players and fans will be
excited to be a part of,” Simmond said. “Our organization will bring a high level of
professionalism and good sportsmanship to both the conference and league.”
Simmond’s career began as a decorated youth national team and professional player that spent
time with the Colorado Foxes, Boston Storm, and NH Phantoms. He went on to an
accomplished coaching career at the youth, collegiate, and minor league levels.
Williams brings years of experience in marketing and business development in the media,
telecom, hardware, and software industries.

Development Dina Case concluded. “This group brings previous NPSL experience to the table
with a good understanding of the NPSL model and culture. We expect Valeo to be a strong
business partner adding additional stability to the Northeast Region.”
