Georgia Storm Soccer Academy Rebrands as the Georgia Storm
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is proud to announce that Georgia Storm Soccer Academy (Carrollton, GA) has rebranded as the Georgia Storm.
“We wanted to create a logo that would capture more of our regional influences and history to help the team’s supporters better identify with the badge,” Georgia Storm General Manager Stephen Bivens said. “These changes reflect more of who we are as a club that serves our communities in Carrollton, Villa Rica, and Douglasville.”
The club begins competition in the East Region in 2021.
“We believe that this launch of our rebrand will allow the club to grow our presence to our current audience as well as grow in our local and regional markets,” Bivens added.
More information can be found visiting www.georgiastorm.com or by following the club on Facebook (@GeorgiaStormSA), Instagram (@georgiastormnpsl), and Twitter (@gastorm_npsl).
“We wanted to mark this point in time to show the transformation of the club,” Bivens continued. “An expression of how much the move to NPSL would be an evolutionary step for the club. As a management team, we concluded we have to rebrand the club, the badge on the chest of the team is the most visible presentation of the club’s evolution.”
The response from the coaching staff, front office team, and players has been excitement and love of the opportunity to wear the new badge and represent the club’s change.
“We reached out into the international community using a web marketing service, 99Designs, and created a global contest to create a new brand,” Bivens concluded. “In a lightning round of design submissions, we received well over 200 rebranding concepts from artists and marketing teams from around the world. We asked the teams to look at our rebranding as an opportunity to support our local region in a bold and powerful statement.”
