FC Arizona Falls to Las Vegas Legends 4-3

By FC Arizona

In a well-contested match between FC Arizona and Las Vegas Legends, the Legends came out victorious with a 4-3 win after 95 minutes of play.  FC Arizona had some fantastic early shots on goal.  Legends keeper Hector Casillas persevered, keeping the ball out of the net.

Las Vegas drew first blood in the 19th minute with a beautiful strike from Raúl Sanchez.  A minute later the Legends were at it again with another powerful goal from Esteban Escobedo, Jr. off the assist from Mohamed Kuwa.  FC Arizona was not going to surrender without a fight.

In the 31st minute FC Arizona’s Daniel Arrubla was able to blast one past the Las Vegas keeper, making the score 2-1. The Legends responded with another goal in the 38th minute from Brandon Vargas, giving Las Vegas a 3-1 lead. That score would stand through halftime.

The second half was a bit quarrelsome with several yellow cautions delivered on both sides of the pitch.  FC Arizona was eager to make a comeback.  The crowd cheered on as Erik Panzer put in a beautiful goal off the corner kick from Chris Ramsell in the 62nd minute.  This was followed quickly by another goal from Tobenna Uzo off an assist from Quanah Brayboy in the 63rd minute to tie the game 3-3.

Both teams battled back and forth, and unfortunately for FC Arizona, Las Vegas was able to tally another goal in the 76th minute.  The game would finish with the Legends earning three points in the table off the 4-3 victory.
