Med City FC Returns to Winning Ways in Sioux Falls
By Med City FC
Med City FC traveled to South Dakota Wednesday for a match against Sioux Falls Thunder FC. And while the temperature was as high as in their game over the weekend, the result was much different.
Two goals from Mayhem captain and Man of the Match Jack Hilton-Jones, along with goals by defender Till Trippner and Austin’s own Andres Garcia powered Med City past the Thunder by a final score of 4-0.
Sioux Falls had a player sent off in just the 15th minute of the game for a dangerous challenge on Med City goalkeeper Gal Elyashiv, who was forced to leave the game injured from the foul. Playing with the man advantage, the game was rarely in doubt and although the Thunder mustered a few shots, it was the Mayhem who dominated on the field and on the scoreboard.
The win takes Med City FC to 5-1 in the conference, while Sioux Falls Thunder FC falls to 2-4. The Mayhem’s next match is on Wednesday, June 16, when they head north for a visit to Duluth FC.
