FC Baltimore Christos (6-0) continued to dominate and FC Frederick (0-5-1) continued to struggle as FC Baltimore Christos defeated the Blue 6-2 at Urbana High School.

FC Baltimore Christos took the lead in the ninth minute after midfielder Spencer Hanks won the ball in the attacking third.  Hanks’ initial shot was saved, but midfielder Kelan Swales pounced on the rebound and scored the follow up.

FC Frederick almost equalized in the 11th minute after forward Yann Kouemi got in behind FC Baltimore Christos’ defense.  However, his attempted chip was saved by goalkeeper Michael Zierhoffer.

FC Baltimore Christos doubled its lead in the 12th minute after forward Taylor Calheira stole the ball from an FC Frederick defender before rounding goalkeeper Bennett Schwartz and slotting it into an empty net.

Swales volleyed home his second goal of the match and FC Baltimore Christos’ third in the 20th minute after getting on the end of a cross from Hanks.

Yann Kouemi got a goal back for FC Frederick in the 33rd minute.  After receiving a pass from forward Jerry Zouantcha, Kouemi turned his defender and fired a curling shot into the top corner from 20 yards out.

FC Baltimore Christos dominated the first half and led 3-1 at halftime, registering 11 shots compared to FC Frederick’s two.

Forward Benjamin Stitz scored FC Baltimore Christos’ fourth goal in the 50th minute after FC Frederick failed to clear a cross from midfielder Branden Johns.  FC Baltimore Christos scored again just a minute later after midfielder Ben Bender brought down a through ball from Swales and finished into the bottom corner.

Swales completed his hat trick in the 59th minute after cutting inside and powering a shot past Schwartz, making it 6-1 to FC Baltimore Christos.  The midfielder has now scored five goals in his last two matches.

FC Frederick scored in the 66th minute after midfielder Uriel Zeitz found forward William Eskay, who beat his defender before finding the back of the net.

FC Frederick had multiple chances to potentially get back into the game, outshooting FC Baltimore Christos 9-4 in the second half.  However the Blue were unable to capitalize, and the game ended 6-2 in favor of FC Baltimore Christos.

Despite conceding twice, the same amount it conceded in its previous five games, FC Baltimore Christos eased to its sixth straight win as it continued its domination of the Mid-Atlantic Conference.

FC Frederick returns to action on June 23 at home against Northern Virginia United, looking to avenge its 2-1 loss at Northern Virginia United and notch its first win of the season.
