Chamberlan Carothers Named 2021 Global Scarves NPSL Supporter of the Season
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is proud to announce that Chamberlan Carothers has been named the 2021 Global Scarves NPSL Supporter of the Season.
“It’s always special to be part of something from the beginning, to start something new,” Carothers said. “This award is even more amazing because I’m actually a bit of an introvert. However, the culture of Southern States SC is such that I felt encouraged and supported in following through on a crazy idea to start a supporters’ group. Thank you Michael Duncan, Wendy Reynolds, Nigel Boulton, The Supernova, and the entire Southern States family.”
He is a member of the Supernova, the official supporters’ group of Southern States SC.
“Chamberlan has taken on the responsibility of creating something out of nothing,” Southern States SC GM Nigel Boulton said. “I know he has spent some of his own money to buy smoke bombs, drums, and other musical eccentricities to help create an exciting atmosphere at our home games. We never knew how this would go and given free reign Chamberlan has come through in spades with the Supernova group. He is thoroughly deserving of this league award and what it represents for this club and the NPSL as a whole.”
Carothers is the Managing Director of SVN/Southgate Realty, LLC and the National Council Chair of Property Management for SVN. He’s the former state president of the Institute of Real Estate Management and the Mississippi Multifamily Council. He previously served on the state board of directors for the Mississippi Apartment Association and the Builders Association of Mississippi. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Certified Property Manager (CPM).
“Seeing what Chamberlain has built up for Southern States is nothing short of amazing, and we love to see that kind of passion come out of supporters all around the world,” Global Scarves Owner Bill Kristian said. “He’s truly deserving of NPSL Supporter of the Season for taking an idea and putting in the grit and determination to make it a reality, scarves up Chamberlan!”
