The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is proud to announce Denton Diablos FC standout Sam Coad as the winner of the 2021 Select NPSL Golden Ball.

“I was honored to be nominated for the NPSL Golden Ball, and I am humbled to find out I won when there were so many special players who I was up against,” Coad said. “I want to thank our Coach Ramon Raya, my teammates, and the entire Diablos organization for giving me the opportunity to chase my dreams.”

Coad grew up in Highland Village, Texas, playing for both Marcus High School and Solar Soccer Club.  Following his high school and club career, Coad committed to UNC Greensboro, where he played in 13 games during his freshman season.  He tallied four assists, helping UNCG win the Southern Conference Tournament championship and make its first NCAA Tournament in over a decade.
