
Alexandria Reds Defeats First State FC 3-0

Alexandria Reds scored three unanswered second-half goals against First State FC to earn three points on Friday night at Limerick Field in Alexandria, Virginia. This win leaves the Reds undefeated at 3-0-1 on the season and in first place in the NPSL’s Mid-Atlantic Conference.
Tobi Joseph put the Reds ahead in the 46th minute after receiving a low cross from defender Yoshiki Igarashi where he slotted it to the right corner.
Midfielder Tobi Joseph played a perfect pass from the right side of the pitch into the box to his brother, forward Seni Joseph, who made it 2-0 with a powerful strike in the 52nd minute.
Midfielder Daniel Ankrah capped off the scoring in the 78th minute with a brilliant left-footed effort from outside the box.
Alexandria Reds goalkeeper Nick Conklu was not truly tested during the match and shared the shutout with goalkeeper Sillah Suwaneh.
The Reds are back on the road next weekend as they travel to Richmond, VA to face off against Grove Soccer United. Their previous matchup ended 3-0 in favor of the Reds.
