
San Ramon FC Returns to the NPSL
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is proud to announce that San Ramon FC (San Ramon, CA) has returned to the league. The club will resume play in the West Region in 2023.
“We are thrilled to have San Ramon FC return to the NPSL,” NPSL Managing Director Cindy Spera said. “We know that they will be a successful addition to the West Region, and we look forward to working with them for years to come. This is a special moment for our fans and supporters in California.”
The club will be led by Executive Director Zlatko Tomic and Director of Coaching and Player Development Mani Salimpour.
Tomic is a former professional academy youth player that spent time with Hajduk Split in Croatia. He possesses a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma and a BA in Marketing and Management from Holy Names University. He is also a UEFA B License candidate.
Salimpour is a former Iran youth national team player that has been a coach and director for over 20 years. He has earned a USSF C License and United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma. He also has completed the Fiorentina Masters Course.
“We expect to finish in the top two and make the playoffs,” Salimpour said. “We chose to return to the NPSL because of the competition, Golden Gate Conference, and NPSL organization.”
San Ramon FC believes in 11 pillars of character as essential traits for not only successful soccer players but successful young men and women. The club uses these pillars to guide our programs, teaching, and curriculum to fulfill our mission of developing players, character, and community through soccer.
Home matches will be played at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, CA. The facility offers seating for 1,000.
