CD Aguiluchos USA defender Victor Ramirez has been selected as the sixth NPSL National
Player of the Week for the 2018 NPSL season. The right back scored a brace in a 3-0 win over Sonoma County.
“I think that the team is getting better every game and improving in terms of performance, where
we give priority to the possession of the ball,” Ramirez commented. “Physically the team is very
good. There are players with a lot of quality and experience, but, above all, humility to fulfill the
objective, which is to fight for the top places in the table. Personally, I’m adapting more and
more to the rhythm of the league and the instruction of the coaches.”
Ramirez is in his first season with CD Aguiluchos USA.
“Victor is getting better and better every week,” CDA Chairman Roger Amaya added. “The most
important thing is that he is hungry to be in the starting 11. I see a lot of progress on the field
and we are proud that the is on the Aguiluchos team. He has quickly won the affection of all his
teammates. We hope this recognition from the NPSL serves as extra motivation for Victor and
all his teammates to work hard and focus on what we want to accomplish.”
The winner of this national honor is determined by a vote of media members from across the
country. It is awarded every week during the regular season.
