Kingston Stockade FC Defeats Valeo FC 3-2
By Kingston Stockade FC
Daniel D’Ippoito made his Stockade FC starting debut in a big way on Saturday night as he collected the third hat trick in Stockade FC history.
Stockade FC would strike first in the 28th minute. Jared Juleau sent Hugo Guerra down the line to sweep in a driven ball that D’Ippolito would slide and force home.
Just five minutes later, Valeo would equalize through Matthew Bell off a long throw-in.
After slick back-and-forth action, Stockade would regain the lead in the 67th minute as Andrea Nguionza and Jacob Schulman combined to send D’Ippolito around the keeper to finish calmly.
Again, Valeo equalized just four minutes later.
Not to be outdone, Stockade FC regained the lead as Schulman led in Joey Dolan with the perfectly weighted ball for Dolan to head across and D’Ippolito to pound home in the 75th minute.
A gritty effort defensively in the rain closed out the match as a big save from Jaiden Pean was needed to finish it off.
Stockade FC starts the year with two road wins going into the home opener at Tenney Stadium vs. Syracuse FC on May 27th at 6:00 pm.
