Fort Worth Vaqueros Defeat Tyler FC 6-1 in 2018 Home Opener

Fort Worth Vaqueros forward Kalle Sone picked up a first-half hat trick to pace the Vaqueros to a 6-1 victory against Tyler FC.

The 2018 home opener proved to be a solid success as “Kalle” scored in the 13th, 32nd , and 38th minutes at the Vaqueros (2-0 in NPSL play, six points) led Tyler (0-2, zero points) 5-0 at the half.

“We found our rhythm midway through the first half after a slow start,” Vaqueros coach Nick Stavrou said. “We will continue to work on the things we didn’t do well and continue to improve as the season moves forward.”

Tyler picked up its lone goal in the 54th minute of a dead ball strike from Alphonso Ochoa.

Vaqueros defender Joseph Cervantes (22nd minute), midfielder Marco Ortiz (42nd minute), and midfield Zack Adler (65th minute) also scored for Fort Worth.
