FC Motown Completes Another Undefeated Regular Season with a 5-0 Win over WC Predators

By FC Motown

In the final preview before the postseason, FC Motown aimed to close out another undefeated regular season against the WC Predators.  FC Motown’s Tal Torgeman opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a laser shot from outside the 18-yard box, squeezing it past the goalkeeper on the near side.

As FC Motown pressed on, Maudwindo Germain began his high assist tally by setting up El Medhi Yousseffi for his first goal in the Motown green.  Yousseffi, a former NYCFC2 standout, provided a two-goal cushion for FC Motown heading into halftime.

In the second half, FC Motown’s performance was further enhanced by the speed and work rate of super sub Rivendi Melvin Pierre-Lewis.  In the 60th minute, Germain’s impressive play on the wing led to a feed that found Pierre-Lewis.  Rivendi then beat two defenders before slotting the ball past a third defender and the Predators keeper, giving FC Motown a 3-0 lead.

In the 83rd minute, wing play from former La Salle star and NY Red Bulls freestyle juggler Hayden Criollo set up Rivendi for another goal.  A skipping ball was struck past the keeper, putting FC Motown up 4-0 as the final minutes of the game, and the regular season, wound down.

A late Predators own goal gave Motown the 5-0 win.  This victory capped off a second consecutive undefeated regular season for FC Motown who have not lost a regular season game since May 2022.

The playoffs kick off on Saturday, July 13th as FC Motown hosts the Jackson Lions in the New Jersey Classico at Drew University.
