FC Florida Claims 3-1 Victory over Global Soccer Pathways

FC Florida secured a 3-1 win against Global Soccer Pathways in their first-ever NPSL home match on Saturday evening at The Pine School in Hobe Sound, FL.

The first goal came early when Nathaniel Santos found the back of the net with an assist from Lucas Cadiz, giving FC Florida a lead that they never relinquished.

FC Florida doubled their lead midway through the first half with Lucas Cadiz involved again, this time scoring after being set up by Ian Hernandez.

Substitute Kharym Florvil gave FC Florida a 3-0 lead after he flicked in a corner kick taken by Dario Gomes.

Despite a late goal from Global Soccer Pathways to reduce the deficit to 3-1, FC Florida held strong defensively for the remainder of the match and maintained their lead through the final whistle.

Javier Barbosa picked up the win in goal, playing the full 90 minutes and making several key plays to shut down Global Soccer Pathways attacks. FC Florida center back and captain Jake Strachan led a back line that limited scoring opportunities throughout the match.

Head Coach Victor Sanchez earned his first NPSL victory as FC Florida moved to 1-1 on the season.

FC Florida will look to take their positive momentum into their next match when they travel to Miami Dutch Lions for a 6:00pm kickoff on Sunday, May 25.

The team’s next home game will be Wednesday, June 4 when they host Naples United FC for another 5:00 pm kickoff at The Pine School.
