Rochester NY FC Academy Defeats Syracuse FC 2-0

Another brace from Ely Sidibe (both were unassisted goals) on either side of halftime gave RNY FC their second victory in as many games.  Sidibe is on four goals from the first two matches. 

RNY FC upped their possession from match one in the first half with full control before finding the breakthrough in the 38th minute.  Sidibe’s second-half goal in the first five minutes gave RNY some breathing room before heavy rains started to fall.  

RNY remained a threat in transitions when Syracuse would commit numbers forward and with their possession but failed to find a third goal despite several quality chances.  Parker Kump would see out the shutout in his first start since returning with only one save on the day from a second-half free kick.  

RNY FC will return to play on Sunday in a local derby match vs. Flower City Union.  Both teams are undefeated.
