By Michigan Rangers FC
Michigan Rangers FC delivered a commanding performance on Monday, June 17, earning a 5–0 win over Wisconsin Conquerors FC at Davenport University’s Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex.
Abe Arellano opened the scoring in the 16th minute, finishing off a sharp pass from Vianney Durand to give the Rangers an early lead.
Just one minute into the second half, Kevin Hubbel doubled the advantage with a composed finish following a setup from Dominic Baumann.
Liam Kervick added a third in the 55th minute, and Chris Mendez made it 4-0 with a goal in the 78th minute.
Mendez wasn’t done there — he found the net again in the 85th minute, this time assisted by Hubbel, capping off a complete and clinical performance by the home side.
Head Coach Stuart Collins praised his squad’s performance while acknowledging the challenge posed by the visitors.
“We have a lot of respect for Wisconsin,” Collins said. “They’re a hard-working side and made us earn everything tonight. I’m proud of the way our group approached the game — we were sharp, disciplined, and showed good composure in key moments. It was a complete team performance.”
The Rangers will look to carry that momentum into the return leg next week, as they travel to face the Conquerors on Thursday, June 26.
