13 NPSL alums were selected in Thursday’s 2026 MLS SuperDraft. A total of 81 NPSL alums have been selected since 2021.
The University of Washington’s Richie Aman was selected eighth overall by D.C. United. The forward spent four years at the University of Washington from 2022 to 2025, scoring eight goals with 23 assists in 81 appearances (54 starts). This past season, the Hanover, NH native received Big Ten Midfielder of the Year, All-Big Ten First Team, and United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American honors.
Hartford City FC’s Will Cleary was selected 22nd overall by Charlotte FC. Cleary served as Stanford’s senior captain in 2025, leading one of the nation’s strongest backlines to its fourth consecutive appearance in the third round of the NCAA tournament. The Windsor, CT native made 79 career appearances (66 starts), tallying six goals and nine assists across 6,119 minutes with the Cardinal.
West Chester United SC’s Giuliano Fravolini Whitchurch was selected 24th overall by LAFC. Whitchurch, a defender for Princeton University, earned First Team All-Ivy honors his junior and senior seasons. A native of San Diego, he anchored one of the best defenses in the nation as the Tigers recorded a program-best 13 shutouts and allowed just four goals during the 2025 regular season as a senior. He also helped Princeton win the 2025 Ivy League Championship and its second-consecutive Ivy League Tournament, marking the first time a team has won both competitions in the same season. The center back played a total of 57 matches for the Tigers, scoring two goals in his collegiate career.
Kenan Hot, who played for FC Motown and Jackson Lions FC, was selected 32nd overall by Inter Miami CF. Hot is coming off a breakout 2025 season with Duke. The midfielder led the team in goal contributions with eight goals and four assists, helping guide the Blue Devils to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. His postseason run included a crucial game-tying goal in Duke’s second-round victory over Princeton. Prior to his collegiate career, Hot gained valuable professional experience with USL Championship side Hartford Athletic and MLS NEXT Pro’s New York Red Bulls II.
Defender Jackson Gilman, who played for Philadelphia Union DS, was selected 36th overall by Toronto FC. The Schwenksville, PA native, spent the past four seasons at The University of Pittsburgh, where he scored two goals and registered seven assists as a defender across 75 appearances (74 starts). He was named team captain for three consecutive years.
Duluth FC’s Edouard Nys was selected 40th overall by FC Dallas. In his one season at University of Illinois Chicago, Nys earned Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, MVC Forward of the Year, United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team and MVC Offensive Player of the Week four times in 2025. He led the team in goals, shots and game-winning goals in 18 matches. Prior to UIC, the Dottignies, Belgium, native appeared in 49 matches at Northeast Community College, recording 48 goals and 49 assists.
West Chester United SC’s Jack Jasinski was selected 41st overall by the San Jose Earthquakes. Leading Princeton in assists for the last two seasons, Jasinski ends his career with 22, which ranks third all-time with the Tigers. His nine assists last season are also third-best for most in a single season. He is a 2025 United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American and a First Team All-Ivy selection.
The University of Akron’s Stefan Dobrijevic was selected 47th overall by Austin FC. Dobrijevic, originally from Uniontown, Ohio, appeared in 76 matches for the Zips. He contributed 15 goals across four seasons with Akron, including eight goals and 12 assists in 21 matches as a senior in 2025, helping UA reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Tournament. He received Big East Offensive Player of the Year, All-Big East First Team, Big East All-Tournament Team, United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Team, and United Soccer Coaches First-Team Scholar All-America honors.
Midfielder Bardia Hormozi, who played for the Alexandria Reds, was selected 53rd overall by Minnesota United FC. The Bethesda, MD was selected by Minnesota after a breakout 2025 season that saw the junior score six goals and tally four assists. Coming up in clutch moments, Hormozi tallied three game-winning goals, including ones against Brown and Penn as the Tigers completed their 7-0 league campaign. For his performance, Hormozi was a First Team All-Ivy honoree.
Georgia Southern University’s Kevin Pierre was selected 57th overall by NYCFC. He ranked third on the team in minutes played during the 2025 season, logging nearly 1,500 minutes on the pitch. The Bluffton, SC native made 51 appearances over three seasons for the Eagles, totaling two goals and four assists. Pierre earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team honors and helped lead Georgia Southern to a program-best 13 wins during their 2025 campaign.
Seattle University’s Yeider Zuluaga was selected 59th overall by Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The Cali, Columbia native had a standout final season for the Redhawks, setting a new single-season career high with nine goals. He also added five assists for a team-leading 23 points on his way to a Second Team All-WCC selection. In total, he scored 17 goals and assisted on another 15 over his four years with the program. He was a three-time all-conference selection and helped lead the Redhawks to two NCAA tournament appearances.
Oregon State University’s Lucas Fernandez Kim was selected 75th overall by the Portland Timbers. He made 70 appearances (64 starts) in his four-year collegiate career. With UC Davis, he registered 53 games played (47 starts) and 10 goal contributions (two goals, eight assists). Playing for Oregon State in 2025, the Berkeley, California native recorded 17 appearances (all starts) for the Beavers, tallying two goals and four assists and earning All-WCC Second Team honors.
University of Washington’s Connor Lofy was selected 89th overall by Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The midfielder spent three seasons at the University of Washington, helping UW claim their first national title in program history by winning the 2025 College Cup final. In his redshirt freshman season, Lofy made two starts and 21 appearances. He then followed that up with 24 starts, four goals, and two assists in his 2025 sophomore season, where he received Big Ten All-Tournament Team and CSC Academic All-District honours. Before joining Washington, Lofy played his club soccer for Crossfire Premier SC and was an Elite Club National League (ECNL) national champion as well as a two-time ECNL conference champion.
