FC Buffalo and Cleveland SC Finish with 0-0 Draw
Cleveland SC was left shaking its head after FC Buffalo goalkeeper Steven Casey turned aside seven shots on Friday at Robert Rich Sr. All-High Stadium.
Unfortunately for the home crowd at All-High, FCB couldn’t make the most of several big chances in a scoreless draw with the 2016 NPSL national champions.
Several of Casey’s saves were showstoppers, perhaps none better than his kick save off a Vinny Bell redirection late in the first half.
The Wolves had their chances to pick up all three points, with debutant Keane McIvor (Diego Martin, Trinidad & Tobago/Robert Morris University) pulling the strings for several big opportunities.
FCB’s back line of Euan Bauld, Robert Williamson, Lewis White, Chris Camilli, and Austin Stout held firm against a Cleveland team which had scored 12 goals in its previous two games.
The Wolves are back at it on Sunday in Rochester against the Lancers. It’s a 5:00 pm start at Marina Auto Stadium (Rhinos Stadium) on Oak Street in downtown Rochester.
FCB’s next home match comes Friday, June 15 against Greater Binghamton. Admission is $8 at the door, $7 presale, or discounted deeper as part of our season ticket packages.
