FCM Portland Defeats Kitsap Pumas 1-0

Kitsap Pumas jumped off to a quick start as FCM Portland’s three-hour Wednesday commute had them playing with a bit of lethargy.

Once the game settled in FCM Portland was able to create six shots on goal to Kitsap’s one as FCM Portland has been struggling to find the back of the net.  It was a even chess battle in the second half when finally Alex Smith received a long cross off his chest and hit a half volley into the side net past the Kitsap goalkeeper.

Within the next minute, FCM Portland created two more good opportunities when Freddie Braun hit a shot off the right post then immediately after flicked a header off the crossbar.

Kitsap wasn’t folding easily as they created several opportunities for themselves in the last 15 minutes only to come up short.

FCM Portland finished with the 1-0 win.
