ASC SAN DIEGO DEFEATS OXNARD GUERREROS FC 2-1

ASC San Diego used a 2-1 win over Oxnard Guerreros FC to continue their climb up the Southwest Conference standings.  Goals from Eric Avila and Michael Turner gave the home crowd at Mission Bay HS plenty to cheer about.

Avila got things started in the 22nd minute with a great opening goal.  Dallin Cutler launched a pass to Avila, who took a shot from the top of the box and beat the Oxnard keeper to the right corner of the goal.

Oxnard would answer with a goal from Moises Orozco in the 36th minute, however, the even scoreline would last for less than 30 minutes.

Turner would score off a Cutler corner kick in the 65th minute, providing San Diego with the game-winner.  This would be Cutler’s second assist on the night.

Jean Antoine also had a strong game in goal, finishing with three saves.

ASC San Diego won’t have much time to rest with yet another game coming on Wednesday, April 18th at 7:00 pm as they face Orange County FC at Irvine’s Championship Soccer Stadium.
