PACNW-OSA FC OFFERING TWO SOCCER BUSINESS SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS
PacNW-OSA FC will offer to its best players in the NPSL and WPSL two scholarships to attend the prestigious Soccer Business School (SBS) in Florence, Italy, a unique experience where student-athletes can integrate a top Master’s Degree with a major soccer program, specifically designed for graduate student-athletes.
SBS is a semester or yearlong program for students/athletes to earn a Master’s Degree in Sports
Management & Coaching, created in collaboration with the Italian Soccer Federation and the Italian Soccer Coaches Association (Scuola di Coverciano, Florence), and in partnership with
Eduitalia.
Studying at SBS gives participants the opportunity to train and play in a professional soccer academy in Italy and be surrounded by some of the world’s top Italian coaches and managers to showcase their playing abilities, and potentially sign a professional contract in Europe.
The coaching staff will be led by Antonio Cincotta, head coach of AC Fiorentina women’s program, the 2017 Serie A champion. The other coaches will be selected by Renzo Ulivieri, President of AIAC and the Chief of the Coverciano School. Ulivieri and his staff will also teach the coaching classes so the students/athletes can be taught by the same professors of the top Italian coaches (Conte, Giampaolo, Sarri as examples).
The students/athletes will be able to live a great life experience in one of the most beautiful city in the world, play soccer at the highest level and study in one of the best tactical school of soccer in the world.
Most likely the best women players will be able to sign a contract with Serie A Team like Fiorentina or Juventus. On the men’s side, the players may be able to sign contract with a third or fourth division Italian team or in other European leagues.
At the same time, our students will get a valuable Master’s Degree and experience the Italian culture. Entering the country with a student visa will facilitate the transfer to a work permit to sign a professional contract.
