DCFC, CHATTANOOGA FC SCHEDULE PRESEASON HOME-AND-HOME SERIES
Chattanooga, TN (February 1st, 2018) – Chattanooga FC is pleased to announce a preseason friendly series giving soccer fans around the country the opportunity to see two of America’s most well-known clubs teams face off against each other. In an unprecedented move in the levels of amateur soccer, Chattanooga FC and Detroit City FC management today announce a home and home series that will serve as the final warm up before the NPSL season kicks off in earnest. Both organizations are home to very large and vocal supporters groups, known as the Chattahooligans and the Northern Guard respectively, and expect to draw large crowds from their respective cities.
“This is a match up that we’ve all been waiting for.” said Sean McDaniel, GM of Chattanooga FC. “By showcasing the two premier amateur clubs in America we are demonstrating to soccer fans across the country that grass roots soccer teams and passionate, loyal fans are here to stay.”
The first matchup will take place Saturday, April 21st, 7:30 pm at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga. Tickets are included as part of all season pass packages. Individual tickets are $10 in advance at chattanoogafc.com and $12 the day of the match.
The second match will take place the next week in Motor City Saturday, April 28th, 7:30, at Keyworth Stadium. Tickets range from $10-20 and are available at detcity.com.
“This is something we’ve wanted to give our fans for quite some time,” said Detroit City FC co-owner Sean Mann. “Not only will it be a match-up of two organizations that have redefined what an American soccer club can be, but it will also be a chance for some of the best soccer fans in the country to come together in the stands.”
