Following the U.S. Men’s National Team’s failure to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) joins the large majority of stakeholders passionately calling for the clear need for change in the governance, allocation of resources, and development of all levels of the sport of soccer in this country.  Furthermore, the NPSL, on behalf of its 95 members across the country, reiterates its support for the adoption of an open system and merit-based movement for teams used throughout the world as a critical development, along with many other necessary measures, required to maximize the potential that has not been fully realized by this nation.

The NPSL believes these discourses can produce a welcomed maturation of the sport in this country.  We encourage all Americans to get involved at every level of the sport, joining us as we celebrate the beautiful game in NPSL communities from coast to coast.  The NPSL’s mission, as a not-for-profit entity owned by its members, is to grow the sport of soccer in the United States of America, and we look forward to collectively working with all entities and individuals who share our passion and mission for the benefit of the common good of the game.
