RECAP: FC WICHITA 3, DALLAS CITY 0

Dallas City visited FC Wichita on Saturday for what proved to be a pivotal game in the standings race within the conference.  Saturday was FCW’s last regular season game and the second to last regular season game for Dallas City.

FCW had already secured the number one seed prior to the game but Dallas City, Tulsa, and Little Rock all still had hopes of hosting on their minds.

The game started off very well for Wichita, scoring in the fourth minute of the game off a brilliant cross from James Togbah who found Diego Serfaty’s head inside the six-yard box. Serfaty redirected the cross in to take the early lead.

From that point forward the game was a solid battle until the 56th minute when FCW would strike again.  Deri Corfe supplied Matt Clare with a nice pass and Clare finished it with precision.

FCW would enjoy the lion’s share of the possession and kept the offensive pressure on.  That pressure would create a third goal for FCW by way of Felipe Maia following up on a loose ball in the box and finishing his opportunity.

The game ended and Wichita now looks forward to Wednesday when they will host Dallas City once more in the conference semifinal.
