Johnny Rodas-Hills scored the first hat-trick in club history to power PDX FC to a 3-2 win over OSA FC at Highline Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

On the eve of his 18th birthday, Rodas-Hills only needed 27 minutes to complete the hat-trick with the first goal coming in the third minute when PDX forward Nick Evans won the ball from OSA goalkeeper Cole Weaver and found Rodas-Hills in the box for the first time finish.

Ten minutes later Rodas-Hills got his second when he reacted quickly to a loose ball in the box and fired home with the outside of his right foot to put PDX up 2-0.

His third came in the 27th minute on a first time strike from the edge of the penalty area that found the bottom corner at the near post.

OSA battled back late in the match and scored two goals courtesy of forward Gabe Kellum to make it a very tense final five minutes.

Kellum put OSA on the board in the 78th minute with a neat finish on a through ball from winger Karim Piottin, then made it 3-2 in the 86th minute when he volleyed home from close range on a cross.

The match finished on a string of corners for the home side but they couldn’t find the net and PDX FC earned their first three points of the season away from home.

The result means that PDX will finish their inaugural season in the Northwest Conference third in the table, with a trip to Bremerton, WA to take on Kitsap SC in their final game of the season upcoming on Wednesday.
