LOWELL DOMINATED BY COSMOS B 5-0
After falling to Brooklyn 5-1 Lowell was excited to take the field and redeem themselves.
This excitement was short-lived as right away Cosmos B were able to get on Lowell and dominate.
The Cosmos started their scoring in the 11th minute. Cosmos B easily slotted an attacker through, and as the goalkeeper stepped out to guard the shot, the attacker passed the ball to a wide open Bljedi Bardic, who tapped it in to the back of the net.
Jose Najera would score two more similar goals for Cosmos B in the 38th and 42nd minute to give them a 3-0 lead going into the half.
Starting the second half Lowell’s defense was able to hold off Cosmos B for a while, but in the 67th minute they were able to strike again. This time it was off of a corner kick that was played back to the top of the box, which was controlled and laced just inside the far post by Salvatore Barone to put the Cosmos up 4-0.
Before the game could end Cosmos B’s Mohammed Rashid, scored one more sitter in front of net to win the game 5-0, holding Lowell to zero shots in the match in a truly dominating performance by the Cosmos.
