FC WICHITA DEFEATS DEMIZE NPSL 4-0

FC Wichita came out from the first whistle with high pressure and never allowed Demize NPSL to get a grasp on the game.  Wichita enjoyed the lion’s share of possession all of the first half but missed chance after chance as both teams went into halftime scoreless.

The beginning of the second half started with much of the same as FC Wichita instantly smothered the Demize with pressure and transitioned immediately into offense.  The first goal of the match came at the 56th minute with a finish from Matt Clare.  Just 12 minutes later in the 68th minute Marcos Gomes would open his scoring account to double FCW’s lead.

FCW seemed to hit overdrive at this point and never looked back.  Clare score his second of the game in the 78th minute and a wonderful strike by Luca Anelli from outside in the 90th minute sealed the deal, earning FCW the three points they needed to keep themselves on top of the conference table.

This game marks a scoring streak for Matt Clare, who has netted four goals in the last two games.

With two conference games remaining in the season for FCW, two victories would secure the first place seed and home field advantage for the postseason.
