The Little Rock Rangers Soccer Club added clout to their front office with the addition of former professional and international soccer player Ante Jazic.

Jazic was added to the Ranger’s staff as a technical advisor in 2016, but will take a larger role in the future of the organization as the Director of Soccer Operations and Youth Academy.

The Halifax, Nova Scotia native touts an impressive soccer resume including stints with six professional teams, including Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Galaxy and Chivas USA. Jazic also has 36 international caps as a member of the Canadian National Team.

Rangers President Jonathan Wardlaw expressed his excitement in Jazic’s new role.

“To say I’m excited is quite the understatement. The professional experience within the club just cranked up a notch.”

The growth of the Rangers, over the past two seasons, is not lost on Jazic who expressed his desire to continue to improve the Rangers organization in his newfound home of central Arkansas.

“I’ve been extremely impressed with what the Rangers have accomplished in such a short period of time. I’m excited and committed to help this club grow at all levels and help players achieve their maximum potential in the game of soccer.”

Wardlaw gave insight into how the addition of Ante will change the dynamics of the front office.

“Having Ante as my partner will allow me to focus mainly on the front office side of the club and really focus on growth.  When we first met a couple years ago, I immediately knew he would be such an asset because we both shared the same views regarding soccer in the area and the development of our youth players.”

The development of youth players will be a focus in Jazic’s new role. The Rangers are now poised to make a significant impact on the development of youth soccer in the central Arkansas area, which has been a goal of the club since its inception.

The Rangers plan to announce more news about the growth of the organization along with updates about the upcoming season, including season ticket sales, in the upcoming days and weeks.
