
Little Rock, Tulsa Finish with 1-1 Draw
The Little Rock Rangers drew by a final score of 1-1 Saturday night against Tulsa Athletic.
Tulsa Athletic struck first in the 59th minute when their attacker chipped the Rangers goalkeeper on a breakaway. The Rangers quickly responded in the 66th minute when Jordan Bates headed a free kick towards the goal and a Tulsa defender tapped it in to level the score.
The game was very physical and intense, featuring many missed scoring opportunities from both teams. Likely the most viable missed chance came in the 25th minute when Rangers midfielder Rafa Ferreira missed a penalty kick wide left.
The Rangers remain in second place in the NPSL’s Heartland Conference with the draw.
The Rangers’ next match will be against conference leaders FC Wichita. The game will begin at 7:00 pm next Saturday.
