ATLANTA SILVERBACKS WIN AGAIN OVER KNOXVILLE FORCE

The Knoxville Force men gave it their best shot, but couldn’t muster a home win over the Atlanta Silverbacks Thursday night, losing 4-1.

The Silverbacks left Sansom Sports Complex victorious, returning to Georgia with their second victory against the Force in less than two weeks.

“Coach Stocton and our guys gave their all tonight, but just weren’t able to get the momentum needed. Atlanta is a strong team, and I congratulate them on the win,” said Knoxville Force General Manager Derrick Long.

Knoxville’s Thibault Mathorez scored the Force’s lone goal in the 81st minute. The Silverbacks goals came from one each by Joao Johanning Mora and Abraham Lansana, and two by Keka.

Another home game is next for the Force, a 7:30 pm match against Memphis City FC Saturday night. Tickets are available at the door: $5 per adult; $3 per child; kids 8 and under are free.
