RECAP: WEST CHESTER UNITED 4, HERSHEY FC 0

Joe Sales started the scoring in the 38th minute when Chas Wilson stole a pass and fed him a beautiful pass. Sales tracked across the top of the box and hit a blast to the far side panel netting his second goal of the season. Michael Gonzalez, who was named Man of the Match, connected passes all over the field in 90 minutes of play.

However, it was his defending that really impressed head coach Blaise Santangelo.

“Michael was all over the field. We go as he goes and his defense was outstanding.”

Gonzalez scored in the 84th minute off a cheeky pass into the box by Kyle Martyn. Gonzalez went far side panel to beat the Hershey keeper. The tally gave WCUSC a 2-0 lead and started an onslaught of goals as Evan Vare was taken down in the box in the 86th minute and netted his penalty kick, making it 3-0.

Moments later in the 88th, Austin Kuhn penetrated the box again and chipped to the top of the arc where Ben Maurey lowered his right shoulder and hit a volley on the left leg, which found the back of the net and gave WCUSC a 4-0 win.
