The final was 2-1 for VSLT. That was our fifth loss in a row for Aris FC, but there were a lot of encouraging signs. They got scored on a penalty and a deflected shot. They paid for their inexperience and wastefulness in front of the goal again.

The good signs are that Aris  moved the ball better, creating more chances and had more shots than the previous games.  Although it was a changed lineup and new formation, the Aris players adapted well.  Their full press almost brought Aris back into the game during the last ten minutes.

Zach Snyder opened his account for the season with four minutes left in regular time.  Then on the 92nd minute they thought they had the equalizer, only to be denied by an offside call.

The next match is against MPLS City 7:00 pm at the Viterbo Outdoor Complex.
