Duluth FC 4, LC Aris FC 0
It was a good first half and if there wasn’t a handball followed by a brilliant free kick, the result could have been very different. In the second half the rain started to come down and a quick second goal washed away any hopes of a comeback.
The final score was 4-0 as a very good Duluth FC team made LC Aris pay for an inability to create more scoring chances and their wastefulness of the few chances that they did have. The game was characterized by fast and physical play.
On the bright side, some excellent goalkeeping from Gustavo Guimaraes kept Aris in the game for long periods of the time and kept the scoreline to 4-0.
The next game for LC Aris is Tuesday at Sioux Falls followed by a Wednesday date with old foes, the MN Twin Stars, in the Twin Cities.
