FC ARIZONA EXTENDS STREAK IN 6-0 VICTORY OVER CITY OF ANGELS FC

FC Arizona extended its undefeated streak and shutout streak to four matches following its 6-0 victory over City of Angels FC on Saturday afternoon.

Through its first four National Premier Soccer League matches in franchise history, FC Arizona has scored 11 goals and allowed zero goals. The club sits second in the Southwest Conference, two points behind Riverside Coras.

Defender Dom Papa opened up the goal fest just nine minutes into the match from a Paul LaMarca assist. In the 23rd minute, great distribution from Ari Sanchez allowed for a easy Cesar Mexia tap in. Just four minutes after this, Costa Rican international, Alejandro Aguilar, scored his first on the season on a great link up between Kenny McAvoy and Mexia.

McAvoy wrapped up the first half with a goalazo in the 35th minute when he chipped the goalkeeper from 30 yards out.

Scoring resumed for FC Arizona in the 47th minute when Mexia assisted on Sanchez’s first goal and Chris Ramsell rounded out the scoring in the 70th minute.

FC Arizona will be back on the road next week when they face Sports Club Corinthians USA. Next home match for FC Arizona is Saturday, April 22 against Temecula FC. Tickets start at $12 for adults and $5 for youth wearing their club, recreational, or indoor jerseys. Support local Arizona soccer by purchasing your tickets today.
