
Massive Crowd Highlights FC Arizona’s 5-0 Preseason Win
In front of more than 2,800 fans, FC Arizona cruised to a 5-0 victory over Real San Jose in the club’s home debut.
FC Arizona jumped out to an early lead just 14 minutes into the match when Ignacio Coba powered a free kick into the top corner just on the edge of the 18. Forward Cesar Mexia doubled the lead for FC Arizona in the 40th minute with his first goal and he added another in the 44th minute when he headed home a cross.
In the second half, substitute Chris Sanchez scored a brace with the first goal scored on a penalty in the 80th minute. He added his second in the 84th minute when he dribbled into the box and finished far post.
FC Arizona will be back in action next Saturday (March 11) when they play host to Orange County FC at 7:30 p.m. at John D Riggs Stadium on the campus of Mesa Community College. Single match tickets are available.
