Midfielder Nick Rich leads the FFC attack with seven goals and four assists in ten games. Right back Ryan Zinkhan and goalkeeper Connor Jones anchor the team’s defense. Zinkhan (nine starts) scored both goals in FFC’s 2-0 win over Legacy 76 to clinch the Mid-Atlantic Conference title. Jones, a 17-year-old who is a 2017 University of Virginia verbal commit, finished the regular season with three shutouts and a 0.857 GAA.
Notable Quote: “We’ve had some ups and downs during the season, but the downs have been important because there were some lessons we needed to learn. This season we’ve showed the quality that the club has and depth by winning the league for the second straight year. Not only have we won but, the development of our younger players have been great to see and have really improved our team. Even to the point where we’ve started Trent Bailey the last couple of games, one of our 16-year-olds. Which gives a great example to youth travel players coming through the club. We’ve had a good opportunity to have weeks training before the playoffs and our group of guys are ready to compete.” – Nick Rich, FFC Midfielder
