ALBION SC PROS DEFEAT FC HASENTAL 3-1

Before a beautiful sunset in the hills of Southern California, conference leaders Albion SC Pros remained unbeaten after defeating FC Hasental 3-1 at the loud and boisterous Hasendrome on the campus of Cal Lutheran University.

After a timid start from both sides, Albion broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute after forward Matthew Clare touched home a cross from Lester “Tre” Hayes.

The home side would equalize in the 52nd minute through right back Cameron Artigliere, who pounced on a rebound from six yards out to put Hasental on the board.

With the Hasental faithful seemingly willing their team to a win, the game was flipped on its head in the 78th minute when the Albion ‘keeper was shown a straight red card for his handball just outside the area.

In the 84th minute, down a man, Albion SC’s Clare scored his second of the match when he converted from the spot after being taken down in the box.

With FCH pressing for the equalizer, Albion’s Felipe Liborio secured all three points with his extra-time finish, making the final score 3-1.

For his brace, Albion’s Matthew Clare was named Island’s Restaurant Man of the Match.

Attendance for the match was 437.
