OSA FC 0, PORTLAND SPARTANS FC 0
On Saturday, May 14, OSA FC’s men’s team played against the Portland Spartans FC, in the first of five games that the two Northwest teams will play against each other this season. The winner of the Northwest Conference will be decided based on the results of these five games.
“Today’s game was close,” OSA FC head coach Filippo Milano commented. “We need to improve finishing the plays better and have more accuracy near the goal.”
The level of the game was well-balanced and the two teams were not able to finish the many chances created during the game. The Spartans played most of the game with only ten men, due to an early red card in the ninth minute, but OSA FC wasn’t able to take advantage of the situation.
“We thank OSA FC for the hospitality,” Spartans head coach Sergio Medel added. “Today’s game was influenced by the early red card. We will play OSA four more times this season and we look forward to our next game.”
The next OSA FC men’s game is on May 20th, when the squad travels to California to play the Sacramento Gold. In other club news, OSA FC women’s team will play their first game of the 2016 WPSL season next weekend.
