CICERONE EARNS PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

FC Buffalo midfielder Russell Cicerone is the first Mitre National Player of the Week for the 2014 NPSL season. Cicerone won the award for the week of May 12-18, narrowly edging Chattanooga FC striker Luke Winter and Lansing United striker Matt Brown.

The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan native scored two goals and drew a free kick that led to a third goal in FCB’s first win at Erie in five years, a 4-2 decision. He also landed an assist in a 1-1 draw with AFC Cleveland on Sunday.

Cicerone is currently a freshman at the University of Buffalo.
