ACTION CONTINUES IN THE WEST REGION

On Friday night the Santa Clarita Storm defeated Del Rey City 2-0.

FC Force came away with a 3-2 winner over FC Hasental on Saturday. Sacramento Gold also landed a big win on Saturday night, shutting out Real San Jose 7-0. Gold forward Jason Jones scored a team record-tying five goals in the win, moving the Gold to a tie with the San Francisco Stompers for first place in the Golden Gate Conference.

The Stompers defeated the Sonoma County Sol 3-1.

The San Diego Flash Soccer Club came from two goals down in the last 17 minutes to get a 3-3 draw versus Temecula FC at Temecula on Sunday. Flash goals came from Justin Picou, Sergio Valle-Ortiz, and Brandon Zuniga.

San Diego played a man down for almost 30 minutes after Nelson Pizarro got his second yellow card and was dismissed from the match in the 68th minute.

Action also continued in the Northwest with all four teams in action over the weekend.

Spartans FC beat Inter United 4-0 in Tukwila on Saturday evening. Seattle Sporting FC picked up where they left off last week as they knocked off Hood River club Gorge FC 5-3 on Sunday afternoon at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell, WA.
