FORMER NPSL PLAYER SIGNS WITH RED BULLS

The New York Red Bulls have signed defender Chris Duvall, who played for the Atlanta Silverbacks Reserves in 2012.

The Red Bulls selected Duvall, 22, from Wake Forest University with the 22nd overall pick of the 2014 SuperDraft. He was at Wake Forest for four seasons and in 2013 he mainly featured as a right back, playing in 14 games for Wake Forest and recording three assists. In 2012, Duvall played more minutes than any other player on the Wake Forest roster, recording 1,637 minutes on the field with one goal and three assists. During his freshman season at Wake Forest, Duvall appeared in every game, including 16 starts, and led the team in assists with four. In preseason play with the Red Bulls, the Georgia native appeared in four games, including one start against Orlando City SC.

The Red Bulls’ first regular season game at Red Bull Arena is on March 15 against the Colorado Rapids at 4:00 PM.
