About New York Cosmos B

The New York Cosmos were founded in 1970 and carry North America’s greatest soccer legacy. The club has boasted international stars such as Pelé, Giorgio Chinaglia, Carlos Alberto and, in more recent times, Raúl and Marcos Senna. The organization has won nine national championships overall, eight of them coming in the North American Soccer League while Cosmos B defeated Members Cup side Chattanooga FC in the 2015 NPSL National Championship.

The Cosmos are owned by Rocco Commisso, who built up Mediacom into one of the leading cable companies in the U.S., and has furthered his involvement in soccer by recently purchasing AFC  Fiorentina in Italy’s Serie A.
