Season-High Crowd on Hand for 7-1 Syracuse FC Win

Syracuse FC ended their season on a high last night with a 7-1 win over the Pittsburgh Hotspurs.

 Within the first 20 minutes Emmanuel Chanelo was able to find the net two times putting SFC in a comfortable lead.  In the 21st minute, Chanelo found Sam Fuller who was able to capitalize on a third goal for the team. Jake Sherline locked in the first half after scoring on a header from a beautiful cross by Sam Daniel in the 40th minute.

SFC came into the second half with a four-goal lead, and the confidence to continue to dominate the game.  In the 48th minute, Jeorgio Kocevski’s hard shot on goal got slightly deflected off of a Hotspurs player and ends up in the back of goal, upping SFC’s lead 5-0.  Ten minutes later, Kocevski added a sixth goal for SFC. In the 77th minute, Jamey Andrews scored another goal for SFC, raising the score to a solid 7-0.

However, in the 90th  minute, a foul in SFC’s box led to a penalty kick goal by the Hotspurs, getting them on the board.

 SFC was excited to finish the 2019 campaign with a season-high crowd of 1,579 and the 7-1 win.
