REMAINING GAMES FOR FC TACOMA 253 PROVE TO BE DECISIVE

After a great weekend of games for FC Tacoma 253 women’s team, there is good news from the men’s side as well.

Because Spartans FC lost their last two games, FCT 253 is now just six points behind them.  Both clubs have the same number of games remaining, two of which pit FCT 253 and Spartans FC against each other.

FCT 253 men’s team has been training since their last NPSL game to be ready for the derby games against their rivals in Portland.

Head coach Filippo Milano has been setting the stage for his team, preparing and motivating his players to face these last three games of the regular season, which have become decisive for the future of the team.

“Now it is up to us,” Milano commented. “No excuses, no regrets. We have to win the remaining three games if we want to have any type of hope to move forward. I believe we can make this happen. Competition is making the team better and I will make sure we keep the intensity up until the end of the season.”

In the days that remain before the game against Spartans FC, FCT 253 men’s team will have several practices and scrimmages to prepare for the big day.

Every game is important at this stage of this proceedings; only one of the Northwest Conference teams will advance to the postseason.  FCT 253 has had a great deal of success already, having qualified and played in the U.S. Open Cup.

The team’s roster has a number of prominent American and Italian players.  Matt Shaxton, Gareth Vaughn, Gianmarco Peressini, and Enrico Antognoni are all valuable contributors on the squad.  They will all have to be at their best to get their team into the postseason.
