CHATTANOOGA FC REVEALS NEW JERSEYS
Chattanooga Football Club officially released their 2015 jersey designs at a press conference held Thursday at noon at Finley Stadium. The new look reflect the roots of the club, with a throwback color scheme and a ‘flat’ title sponsor logo from Volkswagen Chattanooga. Both the color scheme and the ‘flat’ logo are nods to the team’s first-ever jerseys from the inaugural season in 2009. Paul Rustand, a CFC board member who designed the jerseys, led the press conference and a Q&A with reporters.
Three jerseys were released: the home jersey (navy), the away jersey (white), and the training jersey (sky blue). Chattanooga FC players Chris Ochieng, Snoopy Davidson, and Sias Reyenke were on hand to wear the new jerseys and provide media interviews.
A collar and a subtle chevron pattern are fresh updates for the 2015 home jersey, the team’s signature jersey. Underneath the home jersey’s collar are the team’s navy, sky blue, and white colors.
With notable media outlets, sponsor representatives, and members of the Chattahooligans in attendance, this year’s annual CFC jersey press conference was the biggest since the team’s inception six years ago. Bill Hammontree, a member of the Chattahooligans, continues his tradition of attending the annual event.
“Oh, I haven’t missed one yet, I love it. I come to this each year,” said a blue scarf-clad Hammontree.
Chattanooga FC representatives explained that a Chattanooga FC mobile app will be available for download in two weeks and that this year’s Chattanooga FC games would be live-streamed and shown to the public at Chattanooga Brewing Company.
The home jerseys will be on full display during Chattanooga FC’s home opener at Finley Stadium, which is Wednesday, March 13. Kickoff is 7:30pm. The match will be a US Open Cup first-round contest against the Ocala Stampede of Ocala, Florida.
